ECBACO are strongly recommending all existing trainers, (Umpire or Scorer) undertake their CTS programme in 2010 and 2011. They welcome and encourage Counties to put forward new Umpire and Scorer tutors too.
Stage 1 of the tutor programme will be a one-day interactive workshop designed to include tutor input, guided discussion, and practical sessions. The content of the sessions will include the 2010 changes to the Laws, familiarisation with the L1 course syllabus, materials and resources. The courses will be by region.
Stage 2 of the tutor programme will be conducted when the tutors are observed, assessed and signed-off as they deliver their course sessions during the 2010 and 2011 training season by the regional ECBACO trained assessors.
Whether you are an experienced trainer or somebody looking to join the level 1 training team the course will build on your existing cricket knowledge and hone your skills as a trainer.
County Education Officers should nominate the names as soon as possible to the Regional Education Officers who will allocate places on a priority basis, i.e. depends on the dates on which you have planned courses.To ensure your place on the autumn/winter programme contact your County Education Officer (Peter Rogers pete.rogers@bt.com) for a place. These courses are for both Scorer and Umpire tutors.
